Parts for 1989 HARLEY DAVIDSON FXST - Softail
Softails are sought after no matter which model year you go with. Bikes with the 1340cc engine can use a bit more power to match today's bikes. Change the stock cleaners and exhausts, choose cast or forged replacement pistons in engines with more mileage, or big-bore kits to considerably boost power numbers. Install aftermarket cams to tweak the timing, performance plugs and bigger coils to increase efficiency and rework the gearing with new sprockets, pulleys and clutch kits. Also, don't forget comfort with padded solo or 2-up seats, a bespoke windshield, and extras like luggage racks for longer rides.
