Want a Harley that can do 80mph in second gear and still has enough torque for more? The V-Rod was a departure from old-school air-cooled engines for the Milwaukee brand, with no less than Porsche dipping its engineering chops in the design. Well-maintained V-Rods can do with 2-into-1 mandrel bent stainless exhaust piping, better torque spread and less heat with uprated aftermarket clutch kits and a tune kit to change fueling and air intake ratios for the intended use. Dress the V-Rod with raked triple trees to push the front fork forward for more stability, upgrade to front and rear LED lighting, add better brake components, and swap to monotube rear shocks with adjustable preload and damping.
